John and Anita Bacuyag. John started to work with us as an adult literacy worker. Adult literacy classes were conducted in the early stage of the translation work to prepare the people to read in Butbut. After the project was over John took the challenge to work with us again, this time as a promoter. He travels to villages distributing the translated portions and encouraging other to read the Bible. He also gets comments from people as to whether they can easily understand the translation or not and how it is impacting their lives. In October of 2010 John together with the youth leaders in their church organized a music team of about 30 youth to evangelistic crusades at the same time promoting the use of the translated promotions.
